Length of a cold and cold urticaria info needed.? |
I got this really really bad cold about 4 weeks ago. It took about a week and a half to get better, however, it seems that I have a lot of mucus in my throat still. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I may have developed a bit of cold urticaria (allergic reaction to cold temperatures) from it. If I am out in the cold too long my feet itch and where ever my skin is exposed to the cold it gets really red and swollen. All my other "cold" symptoms have gone away and I actually feel great (other than the cold urticaria). The cold may be associated with the onset of the urticaria. Colds and flu affect most people at some point. Common colds are minor upper respiratory infections caused by hundreds of different viruses and are highly contagious. Influenza is one of the most common infectious viral diseases. The flu may be prevented in many people who receive the flu vaccine. Bird flu is caused by viruses that in rare cases may spread from birds to people. |
