Length of a cold and cold urticaria info needed.?

I got this really really bad cold about 4 weeks ago. It took about a week and a half to get better, however, it seems that I have a lot of mucus in my throat still. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I may have developed a bit of cold urticaria (allergic reaction to cold temperatures) from it. If I am out in the cold too long my feet itch and where ever my skin is exposed to the cold it gets really red and swollen. All my other "cold" symptoms have gone away and I actually feel great (other than the cold urticaria).

How long can this strange cold last? And has anyone ever experience this cold urticaria thing before after a cold? If so, can you tell me about how long that lasts?

The cold may be associated with the onset of the urticaria.

For some people, cold urticaria is a lifelong condition; for others, it is temporary -- only during and after an infection, such as mycoplasma or mononucleosis.

Overall, cold urticaria generally lasts about 4 to 5 years, with resolution of symptoms, or at least improvement of symptoms, in 50% of patients.
