What is puerpural urticaria?

y be so sarcastic for? is this not a question and answer site? the whole point is to ask!

The term puerperal means something that is connected with pregnancy or childbirth. Urticaria is also known as hives or nettle rash, and can occur for a variety of reasons, one of which is pregnancy.

Puerperal urticaria is sometimes called puerperal urticaria of pregnancy (PUPPS) or ploymorphic eruption of pregnancy (PEP). The exact cause is unknown, but it is thought to be a result of the body producing antibodies to circulating fetal cells.

The condition can not cause any harm to the mother or baby, but it can be extremely bothersome due to intense itching and lack of sleep. The use of pharmacological treatments options is limited during pregancy. But some releif may be obtained from the use of cold compresses or baths, wearing loose clothing and camomile lotion.

Fortunately, the condition usually resolves soon after childbirth and tends not to occur in subsequent pregnancies.

Good luck, Mel.

Urticaria, in laymen's terms, known as hives and it results from a vascular reaction of the skin to an allergen. Report It

Nettle rash. Use plenty of a non-perfumed moisturiser - it will pass.

CAN YOU SAY GOOGLE?

i do know but you can search in some pages like wikipedia

Urticaria is an allergic condition which comes out on the body as a rash similar to a nettle rash. It is also called hives, and can be bought on by eating dairy products or fish for example. It can be helped by taking anti-histamine tablets. You will have to find out what causes it by a system of elimination with the foods you eat. I am not sure about the puerperal, this I think means septic or blood poisoning, I don`t know how it fits in with the rash. Unless of course the rash is "wet" and is infected. It is always best to go to your doctor, other people (like me and the other answerer's) can only make a guess, so do go and see what he has to say about it.

poisened by a nettle rash, allergic reaction to stinging nettles.
