How can i do blood/urine/x-ray tests in uk not going to GP first ? |
in my country if i want test blood or x-ray i just go to the clinic, pay and get results with medial interpretation within hours can i do that in uk, or need to schedule appointments with nhs gp and spend days to do the same ? there are blood and urine tests available like diabetes and pregnancy what you are asking for though you need to either go to an NHS GP or go private. Go private & pay, if you are that impatient. In the UK you will have to see a GP to even go private. The big advantage of going to a GP first is that you hopefully avoid unnecessary radiation from x-rays that are not needed and appropriate blood tests can be organised, if they are needed at all. Good GPs go through quite a process in GB simply to decide which investigations to carry out. your in our country so u will have to do it our way, unless its an emergency and u can go to A&E I don't understand why you would want any of the above unless you are ill - and if you ARE ill, why not go to see you local GP? I agree that some of the replies have been less than helpful..downright arrogant even. |
