How reliable are negative blood & urine pregnancy tests 2 weeks after missing a period?

How reliable are negative blood & urine pregnancy tests 2 weeks after missing a period?

Most urine tests are 99% accurate if given two weeks after a period was supposed to start. Blood pregnancy tests are MORE accurate than urine, as the urine may not be concentrated enough to test positive. However, there are false negative blood and urine pregnancy tests. Some people have a different form of HCG, human chorionic gonadotropic, and thus test negative when they are in fact positive results, but this is a rare finding. If you google pregnancy tests and accuracy there will be many articles on this subject you can look up.
In general, a blood pregnancy test for a woman with a 28 d cycle is extremely accurate. Other things, like especially stress can cause the period to come on late. Menstruation is a very complicated process. You can see your doctor if it doesn't come on after a month and all home pregnancy tests are negative. If positive, then I guess you should make an appointment with an ob doc, right??? LOL

Let you know in nine months, daddy

Very reliable.

not sure but I would just go to a clinic they will be more reliable.

Pretty reliable. The HCG in your urine is usually very high by then, and you get a positive within seconds. Sometimes our body can play tricks on us. I was once 10 days late and went through 4 pregnancy tests before I got my period. Make a doctor's apointment or visit a free clinic. Their tests are close to 100% accurate.

John, if you have missed your period you best go see a doctor immediately. LOL. Seriously, take her to a doctor to find out for sure. Good luck buddy, you'll need it.

They are very reliable. I took a pregnancy test 5 days before my period and it was positive.

Urine tests are fairly accurate, but always have the blood test done to be completely sure of the result.
