Can a urine drug test tell how much of a drug you actually took? |
i had a rx for vicodin and i ran out and was still in pain so i had extra from an old rx and i took them....im getting an extended urine drug test and im worried that the levels will be higher than they should be, will they know i took 15 more than was in my original rx? can they tell in urine tests how many you actually took? The urine test is a qualatative test not quantatative. However, the urine tests can report back (Negative, Trace Amount, +, ++, and +++ ) for the drug. They cannot tell specifically how many you took but I do believe many times you have to answer questions what you are on and when did you last take it. So it is possible to tell if you are telling the truth. That in itself is revealing about a person. sure can definately yes they can tell how much you took. I found that out when I took my prescription and had to take blood work for a life insuranmce policy. They cannot tell how much you took through a urine test, only what you took! So no worries! A lot of people get confused, but urine testing is really the only one they cannot tell the quantity that was taken. |
