Chronic urinary tract infections?

I do not have any STDs and I don't have problems keeping up with hygiene.

I get chronic urinary tract infections. It started when I started having sex for the first time and I've been getting them ever since. I go pee right after, tried cranberry juice & pills, tried herbal teas for the urinary tract. Nothing works.

Doctors test me, find out I have a UTI, give me antibiotics. Send the sample off somewhere. This is not fixing the problem I have. I have seen a urologist, gave me antibiotics to take when I feel like I'm going to get a UTI, or one before or after sex to prevent a UTI. This has been a lifesaver.

A few weeks ago I had to go to the ER for something & they found out that I had a UTI along the way & gave me antibiotics. I didn't even know I had a UTI.

What can I do to help myself? I heard chronic UTIs could mean fertility problems. What is going on?

I also have painful periods and might go to a gyno to see if I have endo. I don't know if this could help you better help me

You may have recurrent UTI but you don't have chronic UTI.

Recurrent UTI can be treated with 6 month or longer course of low-dose Bactrim or Macrodantin, a single dose of antibiotic immediately after sex or by taking an antibiotic for 1 to 2 days as soon as the symptoms appear. The last two, you've already done. Speak to your urologist about the long-term option. To my knowledge, a UTI, chronic or recurrent, has never caused female infertility. Male infertility, yes, but not female. How is that anatomically possible in a woman?

Be sure that you're drinking enough water throughout the day, that you urinate as soon as you feel the urge, don't use douches or perfumed bath products and wear cotton underwear or panties and pantyhose with cotton crotches.
You can take an extra 500mg of vit. C daily to reduce bacterial buildup. Wipe front to back (if you don't already do this) and take showers instead of baths.

Painful periods are called dysmenorrhea. There are a number of treatments for dysmenorrhea. Why would you consider endometrosis as the source of the problem? The common symptoms are very painful menstrual cramps, a heavy flow, chronic pelvic pain which may include the lower back, intestinal pain, pain during or after sex and infertility. I hope you get this issue sorted out with your OB/Gyn.
