Urinary tract/strep infections?

Has anyone found any homeopathic or natural remedy that actually cures a urinary tract infection? How well did it work? I have a history of urinary tract infections, last one was a strep infection. ( i was told that is just a different type of bacteria) I am not diabetic. I was just tested. Picture perfect blood work. Any one have anything that has helped? HELP?????

Cranberry extract. A daily dose of cranberry extract and lots of water. I am susceptible to them also.

I've cured many a UTI at home with cranberry extract and lots of water. I helped another girl who had a terrible one (and a horrible BF who would force her to have sex with him when she had it). I gave her lots of pills and told her to drink lots of water. Within 2 hours she felt so much better.

It probably is. I buy my extract over the counter. Usually at CVS or another pharmacy. You are not alone. For centuries we cured with natural meds. Good luck. Report It

Cranberry, such as "CranActin", also Vitamin C.

There is no way to cure a UTI at a home. You can however help prevent them buy drinking lots of cranberry juice or taking cranberry capsules daily, get extra vitamin C and be sure to urinate before and after sex if you are sexually active. Also be sure to wipe front to back after using the toilet.

IF you do these steps I guarantee youll see an improvement

1. learn to wash your hands before AND after you touch your body AND several times a day
2. use the handgel alcohol twice a day, you are touching surfaces and picking up bacterias
3. drink cranberry juice, drink lots of water to expel bacteri and flush them out of your tract
4. eat garlic, use vitamin c 500mg twice a day

You can't cure a UTI at home. The over the counter meds will only mask the infection and take away the symptoms. It is necessary to get a prescription to treat the infection. As other people have said, cranberry juice is a good preventative measure; but, there is not at home cure for a UTI.

ANTIBIOTICS kill urinary tract infections and they are what is needed to kill the infection living in your bladder. Strep needs to be wiped out with antibiotics, too. Untreated strep leads to a whole bunch of nasty things including heart valve damage. Untreated urinary tract infections lead to kidney infections/disease, incontinence, etc.

You can take your antibiotics then see your doctor once you are finished taking ALL of them for another urinalysis. That way you will know if the antibiotics wiped it the infection or if you have to be treated for a longer period of time than most people.

You should not have sex until your infection has cleared up and you need to keep yourself very very clean at all times. Since you are prone to the infections you should not drink sugary drinks, or lots of beer/alcohol, you should drink lots of water. Take a shower every night before bed and every morning before you leave the house. Keep it clean, girl.

Just get you butt back to the doctors office and don't be a wuss.
