Urinary tract infections and antibiotics?

I have had a urinary tract infection before, and it was treated with an antibiotic and it cured with no problem. a few months later, I spotted the early symptoms of a UTI so to prevent it from getting worse I took an antibiotic. the symptoms of the UTI dis supress, but I contracted a yeast infection due to the imbalance of good and bad bacteria. but I bought monistat and cured the infection. now this morning I woke up to urinate and it burned and the following three times it also was greatly uncomfortable to urinate. I drank three bottles of water and cranberry juice with an azo pill. I am wondering if I should take the antibiotics I have, but I am worried I will get a yeast infection.

should I wait for the symptoms to clear? is there a medicine I can buy myself at the store/pharmacy without a prescription?

my girlfriend gets this all the time and she has to take amoixcillion and drink lots of water she says to take meds and dont want for the systoms to clear up they might be harmful chances are you might get the yeast infection back she never bought anything from the store

Hi, you sound just like me... I try to increase my yogurt intake and cranberry juice in take. Cranberry juice is better with less sugar ( you could even dilute the juice with water). The key is to do this consistently (in the week) a yogurt on M-W-F (for example) and drink the cranberry juice on Tuesday and Thursday. Also drinking water (daily) is helpful. Usually people that have a history of yeast and uti's need to be extra careful with our diets. I find doing this consistently helps to keep the discomfort and other "issues" away. I wouldn't take the antibiotic because you're in this cycle and it's difficult to get out. Try to do this and give it a few days, I think you'll feel relief. Good Luck!

You need to see your doctor tomorrow. Taking left over antibiotics is not a good thing. For one you shouldn't have them in the first place. See a doctor to see what is wrong, because having so many utis is not good.
