My little girl suffers from urinary tract infections...?

she hates cranberry juice, what is another good drink for the urinary tract. Yes, I have taken her to a doctor.

The cause could be an imbalance of "good" and "bad" bacteria in her body. I suggest trying all natural Optiflora. It's safe for all ages from infants to seniors. It's a two-product system that includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora). Due to it's patented encapsulation process, it guarantees the delivery of 500 million live bacteria to the intestines. The Probiotic capsule is BB size so it's very easy for a child to either swallow or can put it in her food. The Prebiotic powder can be mixed with water or other liquids and has a very slight but pleasant taste.

Hope this is helpful and feel free to contact me with questions.

Since you have done the wise thing and taken her to the doctor there are a couple of things you can do. First, encourage her to drink more water. Second, go to potty every couple of hours because holding the urine does not help the bladder. Third, there is a cranberry pill you can get OTC that works as well as the cranberry juice.

I have suffered from UTIs throughout my life. Cranberry juice helps ONLY if it is 100%...not a blend or punch (they are expensive). It is important that she flush her system out with pure liquids...most importantly WATER. Stay away from sodas, Cool-aids, and other drinks high in high fructose corn syrup. I am sure the doctor told you to make sure she drinks a lot. Good luck. I know how she feels.

you can give her any kind of fruit juices. and make sure she drinks lots of water

mainly stay away from caffeine

if your girl has frequent urinary tract infections make sure it isn't interstitial cystitis with an urologist, if all she has if UTIs in any drugstore or supermarket they have cranberry pills, for example AZO has those pills, between other brands. also make sure she doesn't eat too much spicy foods, or caffeine, or spices, or citric foods; those irritate and cause all those problems. when ever she has an infection and is in pain, give her lots of water and a glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda to dilute the urine in her bladder. also at the store AZO or Uristat have urinary pain relieve tablets.
all this information is based on my own experience and doctor treatment, hope it will help you

you did the wright thing take her to the Dr.avoid her to fill the tub .kids love it but that can trigger infections not only urinary infections ,also check her underwear it should be cotton and not to tight.

Cranberry juice is just one of the natural foods you can use to help combat UTIs. Its good you took her to the Dr. first because these do not treat the UTI itself, they only help with the symptoms. Anything that helps return her urine to a more acidic ph level will help...

Blueberries
Plums
Cherries
Tomatoes

Water will help alot, to dilute her urine and flush out the bacteria...also stay away from sodas and carbonated drinks.

Really good advice from everyone so far. but I would like to mention one thing more - does your daughter take alot of bubble baths? Some bubble baths can irritate the urinary tract, so you might want to consider that as well. Best of luck to you.

plenty of water
