A question about Urinary Tract Infections(which slipped my mind while I was at the doctors)? |
I have had a few in the past, so i wipe front to back and I go to the bathroom right before and right after sex. But a few nights ago, I didn't go to the bathroom before sex (I did after), and I woke up with a UTI. It could be a coincidence but it's happened to me I get frequent infections and can tell I have one really early. On more than a few occasions I've woken up the next morning with an infection. Peeing before might have helped but it doesn't always. Washing your genitals (your boyfriend too) is also a good way to prevent an infection. If you're getting them from having sex you might want to try doing that too. It's a coincidence. Going to the bathroom is a good thing, also washing genitals as soon as possible with a mild soap helps. Even then after these two things it's possible to still get them...but this will help for the most part. If you think your starting to get an infection, take some AZO that's OTC, that will help with the burning...and drink water and cranberry juice. That will help flush it out. If after a couple of days it isn't cleared, see your MD for an antibiotic |
