Frequent urinary tract infections? |
ive had them forever, i pee regularly and ive evn been to the doc. about it he just told me to take azo over the counter meds from walmart, any one kno why this could be happinng? im a female who is 19, and i just about have one every other week if not every week, i hate it soo bad, the pills dnt help that much and i cant afford another doc appt. right now!! any ideas on how to help me or what wrong wit me would be greatly apprecited!! yes i an sexually active, but he isnt gving those to me, he got one once from me and freaked out adn went to the doc. but he sayd it was normal to pass it on to your partner, im not on antibiotics right now, i was about 2 months ago along with my surgery, nothing else is wrong tho no yeast infections or anything just UTIS adn i want it gone forever im soo sick of having them =( I used to have frequent UTI's until I learned that taking antibiotics creates more UTI's for me. Antibiotics can mess up a woman's internal flora system (killing good bacteria along with the bad bacteria), causing yeast problems, which can cause UTI's, which requires more antibiotics. Here is what a wise older woman once taught me: Lacey G- THANK YOU!!! I have the same problem that iiloveuelxo has. Your answer is just what I was looking for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Report It Drink lots and lots of water, and cranberry juice is very good also. They both wash all toxins from your kidneys and liver, I think. Sometimes urinary tract infections can be a problem, if they are recurring, i would say see a doctor. In the mean time if you cannot afford it, try Cranberry Pills, or cranberry juice. It is very acidic, and kills the bacteria in your bladder. It has worked for me many times. If it gets worse, see a doctor. I hope everything turns out ok. are you sexually active? if so, you may be getting your UTI's from your partner. and having uti's as frequently as you have been could eventually be harmful. another way to get them is..wearing tight pants, getting fecal matter inside the vagina, and other things....if none of those sounds like what could be the cause, you should make an appointment with your gynocologist to see what's going on. return to the doctor for a full review of your past medical history and a possible urology referral. good doctors ask that their patients do NOT use Azo. If you are sexually active, that could be a big explanation. As much as it grossed me out to know, my mother gets them alot, for that reason. it could also be hereditary. If I were you I would find a Urinologist who care for your health more. Good Luck! sugar also caused them (sodas and juices); as do wearing thongs (or no panties with jeans). |
