Are urinary tract infections painful for women? As I have one myself right now I can honestly answer YES very painful sometimes!! yes Not for me. UTI's are painful for anyone, but more common in women. Hurt like hell..! I have had several and they really were painful. Yo me it was like trying to pass a caustic solution, the burn was that severe. Once I had one so bad I could not urinate and had to wait on medication to kick in before I could urinate, that one was the worst. YES!!!! I get them lke 3 times a month. If u let them get way out of hand they can be very painful. You need to drink lots of water and cranberry juice, also u need to see a doctor so they can put u on an antibiotic.
