Dmannose capsules for urinary tract infections??

My daughter (6) keeps getting them. Always take her to the Dr. but all they do is give antibiotics and then it comes back!! They have ran EVERY test and they can't figure it out. I'm trying to take matters into my own hands and did some research and saw Dmannose helps. Do you do anything about it?? Most Dr.'s won't know, all they deal with is prescription drugs.

Myself and my grandmother have had huge problems with this in the past, but we're now both infection-free for six years and counting.
The root causes of cystitis (UTIs) are vaginal or intestinal bacteria, usually E.Coli; frequent use of antibiotics; stress; poor diet and food allergies; structural abnormality; hormonal imbalance; plus a few others that shouldn't be a factor for a 6 year old girl so I won't mention them :)
Cranberry tablets, or lots of cranberry juice if she'll drink it, are what have fixed my grandmother and I. Cranberry contains a particular acid that prevents bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall. This is the best herb used for prevention of urinary tract infections but can also be used as part of a comprehensive protocol for acute infection.
Take cranberry every single day, and the infections will most likely disappear for good.
If she has an infection at the moment, another excellent thing to take with the cranberry is some vitamin c - it inhibits the growth of E.Coli and makes the urine more acidic so that the bacteria cannot grow as easily.
Plus, a good probiotic (friendly bacteria like acidopholus) is fantastic. I also take one of these every day.
Take your daughter to a health food shop and talk to someone there. They'll show you everything, and suggest the best things for your daughter.
Oh, and she probably needs a good probiotic by now anyway, if the doctors keep putting her on antibiotics. Antibiotics play havoc with your body, especially if given over and over and over.
Good luck to you, sweetheart, and hugs to the little one :)

I had a uti for one month and tried 4 different antibiotics, it just wouldn't go away. I started taking 100% pure D-Mannose Powder from the company Now and my symptoms are going away. It costs about $17 for 42 servings. 1 tsp every 3 hours for 3 days, then 1 tsp every day as a prevention. Report It
