Will penicillian help urinary tract infections?

Will penicillian help urinary tract infections?

It depends.

Usually if You haven't had a urinalysis with culture and sensitivity your doctor will put you on a broad spectrum antibiotic like bactrim or Cipro. A culture and sensitivity can take a couple of days but it will tell exactly what antibiotics will work for your infection. Sometimes a doctor will start you on one antibiotic and change it once the results are back from the C+S.

antibiotics are normally prescribed.

this is not what doctors usually prescribe for it. I have had great success with cranberry juice. but you still better see the doc.

did for my kids

Its good for everything so it should help

yes. but there are better, safer and fast working antibiotics available now. you need a doctors prescription

penicillin...probably not

most common causes of urinary tract infections are e. coli, gonorrhea and chlamydia, none of which are well treated by penicillin.

Bactrim is a drug more typically used to treat urinary tract infections.
