Can you get rid of urinary tract infections with out medication? |
without antibiotics YES. Start by drinking a quart of CRANBERRY JUICE every day. The pure cranberry, don't buy that junk mixed with apple and sugar. NO. Cranberry juice is good for bladder infections, so it might work for a UTI, too. You can, but it is much more painful and takes a lot longer. Lots of water, cranberry juice. Avoid sugary drinks (besides the cranberry juice, which acidifies your urine) and caffeine. Be very careful and meticulous in hygiene during using the bathroom. try cranberrry juice with as little sugar as possible and few additives. should work in a day or two. try 1/2 gallon at first and another if it does't work at first. wash frequently and wash your hands frequently as these infections are very, very contagious Yes, I think so, what did people use to do before the advent of antibiotics? I know they didn't just lay down and died. In those days there were fewer people addicted, or dependent on drugs also. Cranberry juice is supposed to help. For about three or four days drink lots of cranberry juice and in general, make sure you get enough water. You can try drinking lots of cranberry juice and water as a home remedy, but if you don't get results in a couple days I would use the prescribed antibiotics. Not to contradict anyone here, but please don't try it. You really NEED to get antibiotics to actually get RID of the infection... but in the meantime try getting the medicine AZO. Its over the counter and works WONDERS for the burning sensation and the NEED to pee that you feel w/ a urinary tract infection. Make sure that you get the AZO that is meant for the symptoms and not just the cranberry pills (because both kinds are available. I believe that the ones you want are in a BLUE bottle and the cranberry pills are in a red bottle). Anyway.. that should help w/ your discomfort as it numbs the bladder. Also.. it will make you pee BRIGHT ORANGE so dont be surprised when that happens!! Hope you feel better soon! u might be able to but it will take a long time and painfull one if that!! drink lots of cranberry juice and water like lots not just 1-2 cups i mean to where it is hurting ur stomach to even drink any more u need to flush out your system there is a cranberry pill at your nearest GNC general nutrican center u can purshase that does help, but a bladder infection turn into a urinary tract infection when un treated u might drink to much pop or other juice with high in sugar... There is a natural antibiotic that you can buy at a gnc or a nutritional store called echinacea. It helps your own immune system help fight off diseases. You can also ask what other herb they have that will help you with uti's. |
