This is a strange ? I get urinary tract infections. I need something to protect the urethra opening during sex |
I dont think anyone has thought of this, but it makes sense to me. UTIs are sometimes caused by brusing the urethra from sexual friction or bacteria entering the urethra, if I could just find something to put over it to protect it from the bacteria juices and the friction, maybe I can stop the UTI. Anyone know of anything? I have tried everything else, from urinating before/ after sex, cranberry etc etc You could always make sure you and partner shower before sex or even use a babywipe before to get rid of bacteria. Also you can change positions so rubbing isn't so frequent. Just make sure you pee everytime after sex and try taking some cranberry supplement capsules and that should help! I am not sure of something to protect it but drinking cranberry juice and eatting yogurt has gotten rid of my UTIs. no, but i do know (from personal experience ) that if you go to the bathroom before and after sex it REALLY helps lessen the frequency of infections. also drinking tons of water and cranberry juice ( if you don't like the juice there are pills too) helps flush out your system so that even if you do get an infection, it doesn't have enough time in there to do any damage. good luck! My suggestion (and it seems to work fairly well) is to urinate as soon as you are finished with intercourse (or fairly soon afterwards). Apparently, the urine will flush out any bacteria that may be in your urethra from sex. It really works - I have not had a UTI in 7 years since I practiced this technique. I do not know of anything that can protect the urethra, but my doctor has told me that if you urinate right after having sex, it can help to reduce the risk of getting a UTI by cleaning out the bacteria before it reaches deap into your urinary tract. Drinking lots of fluids and staying hydrated can help a lot also. I don't think putting something over your urethra would even help, because of all the moisture and friction, most things would probably rub off easily. Ive been told by an RN to clean up with a warm wash cloth after sex, and of course urinate and cranberry juice also helps, but make sure its the real juice and not cranberry flavored cocktail. Some physicians prescribe an antibiotic to be taken immediately following sex for women who tend to have frequent UTIs. that is a weaknes in the utheral wall and you have had sugery to repair it by your doctor. till the tube is removed i would not tell you to have sex , i know your doctor as well has told you this as well with the antibotics he gave you to lessed the infection where the insection as made as well follow his instructions to the letter on this in about.6. weeks if i recolect it from medical transcrips then you can start to ingage again on a normal level . my opion? |
