Do you think I could ask my dentist?

Dentists from what I understand take a lot of similar courses to medical students esp the first 2 years. Do you think if I have a minor health issue (not tooth related), I could ask my dentist to see if he has any advice rather than just going to the doctor who is booked for a month? He has a masters in physiology and has done biomedical research for a LONG time. I mean do you think they would have enough knowhow to give me an idea... maybe?

he may not ethically be able to give you an answer. All health care professionals are required to only work within their "scope of practice" which means that if its not related to your dental health, your doctor can't really give you advice on it.
But give it a try!

Im sure he would have the knowledge but he may be hesitant to interfere..ask him anyway..it wont hurt telling you about whatever your problem is might take your mind off of his working on you

I think it might depend on what your problem or question is
