Can one tan underwater? For example, when lying on a float, the water covering the skin, can it get tan? |
When in a pool, the skin that is covered by water, can you tan? Can ultraviolet rays tan skin through water? Glass? Money riding on this answer, hope Im right!! you can get tanned under water, but not through glass. the glass stops the ultraviolet rays. Well if you can get sunburnt in the water, sure why couldn't you tan? When I go scuba diving in my swimsuit I still get tanned. When i go swimming in the hot summer sun, I always get a brown tan on my back and front. So yes you can get a tan underwater. You're more likely to catch the sun as the water reflects the light. Use a waterproof sunscreen. definitely ABSOLUTELY. ULTRAVIOLET RAYS CAN TRAVEL THROUGH MANY THINGS, INCLUDING WATER, MAKEUP, AND SOME LOW SPEC SUNTAN LOTIONS. HOPE YOU'RE THE ONE WHO BET THIS WAY. GOOD LUCK. You should wear waterproof sunscreen in the water because you can burn. You can either tan or burn from sunshine through glass since most glass won't stop unltraviolet unless it's been polarized. |
