Ultraviolet light from tanning beds? |
When I use to tan I would keep my eyes open but I thought they were protected enough because I had the goggles on. Even though I had the goggles on but opened my eyes am I still not protected enough from the ultraviolet rays. Anybody know how to undue the damage from ultraviolet rays? green tea? antioxidants? Thanks for the help! it is very important to keep your eyes tightly closed no matter what kind of rays it is. the damage from the rays could harm your eyes permanently. so next time, keep them CLOSED. Sorry, but you can't undo the damage to your eyes or your skin. You can stop exposing it to the skin-damaging rays though and prevent further damage. Dark, leafy greens, and super foods like wild blueberries, acai, pomegranate, blackberries, etc. have high concentrations of anti-oxidants in them. Green tea also is helpful and can help minimize some of the damage. Unfortunately, whatever damage has been done is permanent. It may take decades for it to show up, but you may easily have damage to the lens and retina of both eyes. If they had a cure for skin cancer, then that would help. Unfortunately, there is no cure. |
