Ultrasound?

Yesterday i was booked for an abdominal ultrasound and a transvaginal scan.I had the abdominal scan and she said she didnt need to do the other scan as she had seen all she needed to see. What worries me is if she hadnt seen anything wrong on the abdominal wouldnt she have done the other to be on the safe side.
i dont get the results for another week.do you think i should be worried.
the scan wasnt pregnancy related by the way.

sanjee its Vin diesil

The transabdominal u/s (the transducer or camera on your skin) of the pelvis is done to see the uterus and ovaries. If they are seen well transabdominally, many times there is no need to do a transvaginal scan. If the uterus and ovaries are not seen well transabdominally, or if they are seen to have pathology (fibroids or ovarian cysts for example), then you may need a transvaginal u/s also. Where I work, we only do a transvaginal pelvic ultrasound if we can't see the area of interest well transabdominally.

i suppose so but try not to worry it could be nothing or something very easy treated

I think that you need to get in touch with your dr to let them know what happened and see how they want this handled since the order wasn't done completely as the dr requested.

no point in being worried. and if she didt do the scan and something is wrong you can get compensation. kerching!

She may be right. If there is any doubt in the abdominal scan, transvaginal is indicated.
PS- Who is in the photo? He is handsome!
Thanks Anne, I thought yr b/f! Hope you get someone like him!

TRY NOT TO WORRY.I KNOW THAT'S HARD TO DO BUT IF YOU'RE THAT CONCERNED MAYBE YOU SHOULD CALL ANOTHER DOCTORS OFFICE AND GET AN OPINION!!!
