Breast Ultrasound/mammogram? |
I had my first mammogram and was told I needed additional testing. They did a diagnostic mammogram followed by a ultrasound. The diagnostic mammogram showed a 8mm mass. However the ultrasound showed nothing. Is is possible it was a cyst that ruptured during the diagnostic mammogram? How could there be something there on moment and 5 minutes later it doesnt show up on ultrasound? It is often that masses don't show up on ultrasound. Mammography compression very seldom ruptures anything in the breast. maybe growing time, or they missed it on the first one, those things are hard to read They look at different things. |
