Ultrasound Vs. Sonogram? |
I've heard of pregnant women having an ultrasound and also having a sonogram. What's the difference between an ultrasound and a sonogram, or are they the same thing? They are both interchangeable termanology for the same thing , and in some parts of the world the procedure is even termed "echograms" , or " Echography". The term "sonogram" specifically, in poular culture, has become assocoiated with fetal ultrasound over the years ; though it really doesn't differ procedurally. its the same thing. same thing ! a sonogram is a specific ultrasound exam |
