Abdominal ultrasound ... 27 years old ... complete physical checkup came back with great results... no worries

i have been having pain for 6 months now of sharp stabbing pain in both my ribcages in the middle area, and it feels like someone is stabbing from the inside. It hurts soooo bad that when i'm doing homework, i end up breaking the pencil. yeah... that bad. Doc ordered MRI of the back thinking it was nerve or even my brachioplexus but MRI came back normal. He ordered Abdominal ultrasound to check for kidneys, liver, gallstone, etc. everything came back normal. my first Q is... what the hell is it? i'm sooo mad when u go to the doc for treatment and they tell u to take tylenol for pain... well helllllllllo i get the pain everyday and i aint gonna drug myself with ibuprofin or such... what am i gonna do with this pain and no answer to it? 2nd Q is ... ultrasound was painless, but after i came home , my right side on the waistline, has been hurting like it's a deep kinda pain. he concentrated on that area too much today. I dont know.. any answer would be great . Thanks people. bye.

Well, if a full physical and imaging tests don't show anything, there's one thing left that I could think of. Possible costal nerve irritation (nerve that sits underneath your ribs) that's causing your pain. To fix that, you need to fix the ribs. To fix the ribs, you need to fix your spine. A misaligned spine can cause the ribs to pop out and rub against your costal nerves. I recommend you see a special chiropractor to help you with this problem. I've referred many patients to them with success.
