Question About Gallbladder Ultrasound? |
Today I went to the hospital to have an ultrasound on my gallbladder that I have been having issues with for about 2 or 3 months. My dad came with me(I am a minor) and he said when the woman was doing the ultrasound on my gallbladder specifically there were all these little white spots around the duct and there was a big huge black spot in the middle of my gallbladder. Is there anyone out there that has had a similar thing from their ultrasound? I was wondering what this may be I won't get my results until next week sometime probably but I was just curious in the mean time. Thanks! I had 4 large stones that were visible on my ultrasound. They looked like giant peas in a pod. The tech said those were just very large gallstones and she could see several other small ones. When they removed my gallbladder they actually found 7 large stones to remove before they could finish the laproscopic surgery. I guess some were hiding behind the top 4 on the ultrasound. There is a danger of large stones getting stuck in the bile duct but since you had the ultrasound I imagine they will fix you up very soon. You should be fine, take care. most likely gall stones=Dr will tell you what to do about them I have had several ultrasounds and it's hard to watch them and diagnose yourself. Try not to worry. If the spots were on your gallbladder, it may be gallstones. I had them and had to have my gallbladder removed. It's a simple surgery and you go home the same day, so try not to worry. That may not even be what's wrong! I asked about some white spots on my ultrasound once and the technician said it was gas bubbles in my intestines! LOL try this link for info visio |
