Ultrasound Question? ::LADIES ONLY::?

OK I have to go for n ultrasound Monday and it says "Vaginal Probe"
Do I even want to know what this is???

Anyone have this???

I've had a bunch since I got pregnant.

I will be very blunt about how it feels. Do you know how for a split second, you may feel vaginal pressure when your partner enters you, and then it completely goes away? Same thing with the intravaginal probe that they use. It looks like a small dildo actually. Try not to tense up, and it will be fine. The exam is quite brief. Sometimes the ultrasound tech lets you insert it yourself, sometimes they insert the probe.

It's fear of the unknown that makes us nervous. Now you won't have to be.

It is a tpe of ultrasound that instead of the intrument on top of your body, they insert a probe vaginally. It does not hurt nor is it very uncomfortable. It is nothing to be worried about!!

I had it done last month.

You lie on your back.
The probe is like a big tampon and the tech lets you insert it yourself.

She then moves it around to get pictures of the inside of your uterus at different angles. It takes about 20 minutes.
It doesn't hurt at all.
