Is There Any Way to Safely Consume Alcohol with Ulcerative Colitis? |
I'm a 20 year old male with ulcerative colitis. Being my age, all my friends go to parties and have a good time drinking while I'm stuck being the designated driver all the time. Is there any safe way to drink with my friends without regretting it in the morning with horrible pain? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Yes.... put a gun to your head first...... why would you want to drink that rot-gut just to be accepted.... i heard of girls soaking tampons in alcohol, and inserting them. THey got incredibly drunk, but didn't blow a level. Maybe you could stick somthing up your a$$. It's a blessing!! Drinking is for dumbasses who like to waste their time and money. They do have alcohol vapor bars too if you want to be a dumbass. (breathable alcohol) Just be happy that you don't have to wake up with hangovers. There is really no safe way to do this, unfortunately. I really do not suggest you mess with your health by compounding an already ongoing problem, with a bigger one, should you decide to drink. I have a question; have you brought this up to your family doctor? He or she is the one person who would have the knowledge and/or guidelines that would give you the best answer for this question, and not Yahoo! Answers. Be safe, and good luck. Mix your booze with Milk of Magnesia. The MofM will coat your stomach and prevent damage from the alcohol. Be very close to a toilet the next morning!!! I used to drink when I had my Ulcerative Colitis and suffer the next day as you describe. There were times when I got lucky and didn't get pain in my gut after a night of beer chugging, but that was rare. Mostly it was pain accompanied by blood. |
