Typhoid fever pills?

Hi I started taking typhoid fever pills, which is a series of 4 pills taken every other day with 2 hours of fasting before the pills and 2 hours after. I started my first pill at 9 : 15 on sunday. So today is tuesday at 11: 09 and I realize i havent been fasting which I shoudl have started 4 hours ago. Does anyone with medical expertise, nurse etc know whether is it dangerous to quit the typhoid fever pills in the middle of treatment? and seriously waht are hte odds of getting typhoid fever when in spain and possibly morocco?

there cannot be relapse, its a vaccine, i dont have typhoid fever

Are you talking about oral typhoid vaccine, Vivotif? You take one capsule on alternate days for 4 days, one hour before meals. If you have not been fasting, take your meal later. If you have missed a dose, take it the next day and complete 4 doses in the same way. If you do not complete 4 doses, the vaccine will not be effective.
I am a pediatrician.

you should never quit the treatment inbetween before the course is completed, otherwise there will be relapse.

If you stop taking the medicine or if you do not take it as directed, it will not give you the full immunity against typhoid. I do not see where its recommended that someone traveling to Spain get the typhoid vaccine, there isn't a large risk for that area.
