I can't really answer this question because you don't really diagnosis typhoid fever by the color, consistency, and/or odor of the feces. Symptoms of typhoid fever include poor appetite, headaches, generalized aches and pains, fever, and lethargy that show 1-2 weeks after ingestion of the Salmonella. If untreated, symptoms will last 4-6 weeks. Someone with typhoid fever will usually have a sustained fever as high as 103 to 104 F. Chest congestion develops in many patients and abdominal pain and discomfort are common. Typhoid fever is diagnosed, however, by isolating Salmonella typhi from the feces.
