Suffering from Type II diabetes, what about sugar and honey in various recepes proposed for your clients? And?

Where in NY and in particular in Queens County or in the vicinity, can one see the products you carry ?

The only reason to "suffer" from type 2 diabetes (that I can think of) is by not knowing enough about it and/or not taking proper care of yourself.

For example... sugar and honey both have fructose and glucose in nearly the same proportions... for all intents, they're the same. Diabetics should avoid them both. There are much better ways of getting your energy.

Honey is a very high glycemic food, meaning it will spike your blood sugar and it is not appropriate for diabetics. Though it does have special health benefits of it's own, the effects on insulin outweigh any of it's good traits for the most part. There are some safer options that are just as tasty.
1. Organic raw blue agave nectar has a similar flavor to honey and is a very low glycemic food. It is safe for diabetics. However, it will still acidify your body pH and feed candida.
2. Stevia is an herb that is 300 times sweeter than sugar. Body Ecology (www.bodyecology.com) has the best tasting stevia I have found. Other brands have a strong, licorice type aftertaste that I find unappealing. It comes in powder form but I feel the liquid is best. It will not feed candida or acidify your body, but it is difficult to bake with and doesnt taste exactly like sugar.
3. Lakanto is the new kid on the block and perhaps your best bet. It looks, tastes and even BAKES like sugar yet has no calories and no impact on blood sugar. It contains no additives and will not cause digestive upset. In addition, it will not acidify your body and does not feed candida. The two natural ingredients in Lakanto are erythritol and the supersweet extract of the luo han guo fruit from China. Erythritol is a sugar alcohol naturally found in grapes, pears, mushrooms, soy sauce, cheese, wine and beer, so it and has been part of the human diet for thousands of years. Get some Lakanto at www.bodyecology.com and try it for yourself.
