Is it common for people to die because of type II diabetes? |
just curious. I have type one diabetes, but I know many that have type two. Without proper exercise, nutrition, and medication, it is possible for a person with type two to die. What happens is that when you eat, (for type two) your pancreas can't supply all the insulin that your body needs for the sugars, so your blood sugar stays high. (symptoms - headaches, stomachaches, sleepiness...) High blood sugar is always wanting to feed on something so it usually goes for the kidneys causing someone who doesn't take care of their diabetes to have kidney failure and die. That is why it is extremely important for people with type two to take their medications, eat properly (know the foods which you should avoid) and exercise. Hope I helped... Yes!! because it attack s every major organ. A lot of people have heart/kidney trouble just to list a couple Yup. Yes, although the death is not directly caused by diabetes (usually), it makes heart disease, stroke, vascular disease, and kidney disease much more likely to occur and thus contributes to the death of almost everyone who suffers from it to some extent. The problem is that type 2's may have a dibetic condition for 10 20 30 yrs without feeling much effect, but still doing major damage to organs inside the body. While a type 1 will usually have blood sugar so high it would be impossible to function without taking insulin and getting at least some lower blood sugars. sadly yes, they mostly get it in an older age so it increases you'r chances of dying alot :( If you really keep it under control, you can live a long healthy life, but most likely you'r kidney's and other Organ's are shot already :) hope i can help It's common for people to die both with and without type II diabetes. Having type 2 diabetes is not a death sentence. Not heeding it's warnings and allowing your blood sugar to stay too high for too long will cause all sorts of potentially fatal situations to occur. Heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, liver failure, etc. So, no... it's not common to die from type 2 diabetes. It's common to die from the complications of prolonged high blood sugar that's left out of control. if the patient dont go for a regular consultation with the doctor no if they treat themselves. It is not common for people to die of diabetes. Most diabetics die from the side effects of diabetes such as kidney failure, liver failure, gangrene, etc. That is why it is so important for diabetics to take excellent care of all aspects of their health as the blasted stuff affects every part of the body. Yes it is common for people to die from uncontrolled type II diabetes. it is not common for all to die but they do eventually. i mean it is one of the causes that you can pass on but it takes long time to do this. that is why there is diet and rules and meds to take to beable to live longer with out problems. |
