Foot surgery, feet sweeling & have diabetes type II? |
I just had foot surgery 5 days ago and my left foot is really swollen. I went for a follow up after surgery and my foot wasn't this swollen. I am kind of worried since I am a diabetic. Was wondering if there is anything else I can do besides keeping my feet up and using ice on and off during the day. I would check back with the Dr. and see if that is normal or not. Good luck. There is nothing you can really do except stay well rested and regulate your diet while resting. Yes, check to see how high your blood sugar is and call your doctor about the swelling. i would get back to the doctors!~you may have developed an infection, and if you leave it, it will get worse, and knowing that you have diabetes it could develop into something much worse. go back to the doctor!!! If you had foot surgery, somebody should be on call. Call the doctor who did the surgery tonight. If you can't reach them, go to the ER. It's better to be safe than sorry. |
