I want diabetes type 1. How? |
I know, wierd. But is there a way I can get type 1 diabetes? Ok, before you get all pchyco on me, I dont actually want it, I just want to know how to get it. Just a question. But please keep your answers coming. Diabetes is a really interesting subject for me and I would like to know more. Quite honestly, Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes are two totally different diseases. Most doctors believe they should rename the disease so there is no confusion. Type 1 diabetes has absolutely nothing to do with your diet, weight, or exercise regime. It's completely in the hands of the gods...of course, genes play an important role in it too. I've had type 1 diabetes for 25 years and it requires me to inject insulin multiple times a day and test my blood glucose level by finger prick several times a day. Your pancreas makes a couple different hormones, insulin being one of them. So, even if you had your pancreas removed, you couldn't survive without the other hormones it makes. I'm not sure if I answered what you were looking for, but it was my best shot ;-) why would you want to get diabetes in the first place? WHY??? ..........youre retarded It's not something one chooses to get. You eat junk food and sweets all the time and never exercise. Why on earth would you put your body through that? I have two family members with type 1 and no one should have to live with that. Type one diabetes is when your body destroys the organ that makes insulin. I don't think there is a way to increase your chances of getting it. I don't think there are any ways to prevent it either. Even if you're healthy, you can still get it. Why do you want it anyway? It isn't cool. My mom has it, and she has this thing hooked up to her to give her insulin. Unlike type one, type two can be prevented with healthy foods and exercise. Well first off why in the world would you want this kind of dibilitating disease? Type 1 Diabetes is a disorder in which the body does not produce insulin (a hormone that aids in moving sugar from the blood to the cells). This type of diabetes can be due to a virus or autoimmune disorder in which the body does not recognize an organ as its own and attacks it. In this case the body attacks an organ known as the pancreas where insulin is made. Why in the world would anyone wish this upon themselves? i know everybody's asking, but why? How to get Type I diabetes: The pancreas of a type 1 diabetic does not produce insulin or it produces very little. I guess you could become a type 1 diabetic by having your pancreas removed. Why in the name of all that is holy would you want diabetes?? I think you want to know how a person get it not that you want it. you can google diabetes on the web and you can get all kinds of info on it. it is not something you can catch it is all in the function of you pancreas.and how your body breaks down the sugars. donate your working pancreas to me.... i have had this disease for 35+ years and am tired of it... you can have it, but I need your pancreas...... lets set the surgery date please. I have type 1 diabetes and let me tell you....you don't want it and you don't want to wish it upon anyone. I have to take four insulin shots a day as well as check my sugar by pricking my finger four times....thats eight needles a day. I am 29 and can't get medicaid therefore I buy all of this out of pocket. The test strips for checking your sugar are at least $1 each. Not counting cost of insulin and needles that cost 35 cents each. I'm on two insulins and it comes to over $200/month just for insulin. Type 1 can't be prevented or brought on. It just happens. Only 5%-10% of diabetics are type 1. Be glad your not!!! OHHHHHHHHH heres the biggie....insulin causes you to gain weight and its almost impossible to get the weight off...its like cordizone sorta as far as weight gain. Thank the good lord you don't have it. |
