Foods for a person whom suffers from diabetes type 2 ?!!!!!?

A family of 7 just moved next door to me,
And I recently came to find out that the father that owns the house,
Has diabetes ( type 2 )

- I felt absolutely terrible for him...
So I have been trying to figure out what foods he should be eating on a daily basis, & what foods he should avoid because he suffers from diabetes?

I'd like to note, that they are a Mexican family,
His wife mostly cooks Mexican foods for him...
So if you have any ideas for what kind of Mexican
food you can find that would help his diabetes,
American food counts as well!!!!

Any advice or opinions would be so greatly appreciated!

He asked me to look it up online for him...
considering the fact that he doesn't have access to the internet.
:) Thanks for your consideration though.

At least I'll know next time not to ask for opinions from people like you.

Why, as a neighbor, it is your business ?

Most people with diabetes do not expect their neighbors for help .
