Type 2 Diabetes? |
Okay I just recently found out that I have type 2 diabetes. I dont have to take insulin or any thing. Could some one give me some more information about this subject please. And which type is worser 1or 2 Type 2 is non insulin dependant diabetes. It means that either you body (pancreas) does not produce enough insulin or you body does not absorb it correctly. I can in some cases, be controlled by diet (eating the right foods) and otherwise may need certain drugs (ie. pills ) to keep your blood sugar levels in line. Weight loss and exercise are important and watching what you eat is important too. Watch breads (including pizza crusts) and sweets and learn to eat correctly and choose the right foods. Two is the better kind to have because you dont have to take shots. I have type 1 and have to give like 4-5 shots a day. It could change or develop inton type one though, I think because your pancrus is still making some insulin, but it could stop all together. Don't worry though. You'll be fine either way...........Its scary at first. but you get used to it. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!=) Hi hon!! neither type is worser than the other!! bad english!! Diet Guidelines Eat NO sugar especially soda, candy and cookies. Hi Please go to dlife.com or onetouchgold.com. They are both for diabetics and have all kinds of info about both types. Dlife is really good as it has a forum for the types. You can ask questions, get answers and read about people that have the same concerns as you. Good luck with your new lifestyle. |
