Is it possible for boys to get Turner's Syndrome????

i am doing research on Turner's Syndrome and was wondering... from what i read i don't think it is possible, but i would like a for sure answer... also what exactly is wrong with people who have Turner's Syndrome??? also if you could tell me any physical differances that you know of...

thanks!!!

Turner syndrome is caused by a missing X chromosome. it affects females only
Turner syndrome females usually have non functioning ovaries (no eggs) because of a lack in females hormones puberty often does not happen, they suffer from short stature NOT DWARFISM though they are just shorter than the "norm"
they can have heart, liver, kidney, thyroid problems, problems with eyes and hearing..They often have slight learning problems but nothing major, and they do learn to overcome or compensate for these problems.........
Most TS girls will only have a handfull of problems often seen not all of them.......most lead full lives and can go on to have jobs like nurses, teachers, doctors lawyers etc........
a lot can be done to help the main features growth hormone can be given to get them to a more normal sort of height......IVF with donor eggs can be successful as the womb and uterus tends to be fine..........Estrogen treatment is given to make the girl go through puberty and develop hips, breasts etc.....

it when a girl doesnt go thru adolescence properly

Turner's Syndrome affects only females. You do not 'get it'. You are born with it. It is a chromosomal abnormality. It is seen in about 1 in 3000 live female births, and is characterized by the absence of one x chromosome, congenital ovarian failure, genital hypoplasia (under developed genitals), cardiovascular abnormalities (heart problems), dwarfism, short metacarpals (fingers), 'shield chest' (chest flattened, not rounded), extosis of tibia (bone growths on lower leg bone), and underdeveloped breasts, uterus and vagina. Spatial disorientation (appear clumsy) and moderate degree of learning disorders are common.Treatment includes genetic counseling, hormone therapy (estrogens, androgens, pituitary growth hormone), and often surgical correction of cardiovascular anomolies, and the webbing of neck skin. Hope that helps!
