This is not deep inside my throat, it is right behind and below my tounge...It feels like the flap (the epligotis).....I went to the emergency room last night for it and they told me I had a "dry throat" but all he did is look in my throat with a tounge depressor and light. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS....PLEASE HELP ME....I SUFFER FROM ANXIETY DISORDER SO I AM GOING CRAZY HERE! THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU

years ago my sister had what you are describing it was all anxiety related you need to see your doctor.she hasnt had this for years now.iknow she was anxious because her husband was working away from home when he eventually quit the job she recovered.please get help.

This is an exceptional year for allergies. We had a warm wet spring, just right for the plants to bloom. It wasn't hot and we didn't have the spring freeze. There is a lot more allergies this year, but the plants and flowers are pretty. If you are taking allergy meds, that may make it worse. If you have thick mucous because of allergies and low humidity, take something like robitussin for congestion, it makes the mucous thinner. Try rinsing your mouth with salty water and drink more water. Be careful with allergy meds, you may be taking the wrong ones.

well it could be dry or u could have some kind of emotions that make your body do weird things

Several times when I have been sick, often with just a common cold or flu, my epiglottis swells just a bit, my throat dries out, and the little bugger causes exactly what you describe.

Increased anxiety lowers the body's immune response and makes you more vulnerable to bugs and virus. A lot of times, the first place invaded is the saliva glands and lymph glands around the mouth and neck. Even if you don't have symptoms, these areas could be battlegrounds that cause the symptoms you describe.

Sip on a glass of water to keep the throat and epiglottis wet and lubricated, and take some extra vitamin C and E to help your immune system... Also take whatever steps (medicinal or otherwise) you normally do to lessen your anxiety. Things should improve...
