I just got over an eating disorder, but i gained weight.?

I was overweight in 5th grade, about 20lbs for my height.(Normal weight for my height the doctor says was 135, and i weight 156)
I drove myself to bulimia, and just got over it.
I gained ALL my weight back AND MORE.(now 196)

I don't want to go back to the "doctor". and i don't want my throat to hurt ALL the time.

Is there anyother way, besides eating disorders, that could go from a size 16 to like, a size 7?

The doctor says "you need to gain"
now he says
"you need to lose."

i don't have a high metabolism, and i hate not being able to buy the cool clothes, and swimsuits anymore.

help?

i'm also a vegetarian.

Now, yer body underwent a huge change, you know its normal to be a bit overweight, but want to drop it. The almighty answer that sucks, exercise. Its normal for you to be this overweight, so you need change again, but nothing bad. Exercise, get all-around healthy. I feel for you, honestly, I hope you jog a little bit and look up healthy foods and get into that size seven again ;).

Exercise and eat healthy... All I can recommend.

all i can say is eat healthy. Diets do not even work well anyway. Eating less just makes you sick, and with your case caused eating disorder. All i can offer, is really try try hard to exercise, eat healthy foods, and when you have the urge to eat something sweet, choose a yogurt, or something of healthier value. Exercising helps also, but don't over stress yourself with too much of it. start off slowly and you should loose weight little by little. Main goal is, be confident and stick to eating healthy and not less, and you will succeed!!

Just eat healthy; have like 6 small, BALANCED meals a day, and eat lots of veggies.
Drink a lot of water, too, like 8 glasses/day.
And EXERCISE!
Exercise with a friend, or do a sport you actually like.

you don't need to lose weight as your main goal. i'd focus on toning- pilates, weights, aerobics. ask your doctor about focusing on the toning aspect instead of weight.

First, you need to get out of the house and do some cardio. Walk or ride a bike at least 45 minutes a day.

Eat fruits, veggies, and protein only. No more sweets, cokes, bread, and take out fast food.

If you want this to work you will really have to focus on a goal and by all means stick to it.

The hardest thing is portion control. It is better to eat 6 smaller meals a day that 3 large ones.
