Throat Cancer?? |
im' 19 years old, my tonsils or my throat has been hurting for a week, breathing fine, hurt like hell to swallow, i also have a cough (no blood) and runny / blocked nose? i know i'm an idiot, but i'm freking out i might have it, please only serious answer, i have two kids, i'm totally freaking out, i'v been smoking just less than two years. oh, my cough and nose have persisted like all f winter (i'm in aust) and the antibiotics i got from my doctor didn't do anything Go to the doctors - but for one reason and one reason only; it will put your mind at rest!! GOD DAMN!!!! 19 AND TWO KIDS??? WHAT THE PHUCK????? Report It cancer is the least likely explanation. Much more likely is allergy. The sore throat is likely caused by the irritation from the drainage. Antihistamines/decongestants, combined with soothing agents for the throat would be of help. Stop smoking of course. It is doubtful that you have cancer. But you should stop smoking anyway. It is probably allergies or tonsillitis. Smoking exacerbates these and other respiratory conditions. And it is a bad example for your kids. So please, at your age, stop now and you will extend your life expectancy so you can see your kids and hopefully grandkids grow up. Please see the webpages for more details on Cancer-throat or larynx There are a number of cancer treatment centers throughout the world including Calgary, which has the Tom Baker Cancer Center. Many different treatments and therapies are used in the treatment of throat cancer. The type of treatment and therapies used are largely determined by the location of the cancer in the throat area and also the extent to which the cancer has spread at time of diagnosis. Patients鈥?also have the right to decide whether or not they wish to consent to a particular treatment. For example, some may decide to not undergo radiation therapy which has serious side effects if it means they will be extending their lives by only a few months or so. Others may feel that the extra time is worth it and wish to pursue the treatments. You are freaking out over nothing. Did you doctor do a throat culture? If your throat hurts for a long time, the most likely explanation is an allergy. don't freak yourself out, it won't help..i also suffer from tonsils but i refuse to get it removed.. this time it took me 3 weeks to fully recover.. i had 2 rounds of antibiotics but it was still hurting. i couldn't talk properly and eating was so painful.. i would cough up lumps of flam.. anyways here are some home remedies you can try.. I'm sorry to have to tell you, that my late husband died of cancer in his throat..... I hope you will see your doctor soon. however i don't believe you should jump to the conclusion that you have cancer as yet.... How does toncillitis sound to you??? It is a complication occurring with severe cold or flue. Maibe you had a cold not long ago, and your throat could be inflamed because of that. See your familydoctor please.... my husband waited too long, and in the 9 months that I nursed him, we were close to winning the battle after 5 months and radiation treatment, he was declared free of cancer..... our hopes were shattered after another month. His influenza vaccination might be at the root of the cancer coming back in full force, and he died 3 months after that on 10 februari 2004. I was glad to nurse him at home untill the very last day. To do this we had a hospital bed in our living room, and I slept on the sofa because i had to ceep an eye onb the equipment too of course...i do not want to scare you with this real life astory of mine.... remember you are young, he was not. you are a healthy young woman, my late husband was not. Look after your health, and the healyth of your ghildren as good as you can. Eat plenty of fresh vegetables,, moderate on red meat, and get plenty of exercise, for this will ceep you young (I am a keen dancer when I go out... in fact, I can't sit still when i hear music. I do not drive a car, I use a bike, or go by bus/train.... no promiss me you will not worry too much and think the worst yet, see your GP or familydocter as soon as possible please, and when you need a shoulder to cry on, Yahoo knows were you can find me. |
