I hope your mum will be okay! Follow this link! Go to Mayo clinic dot com. You will get good answers there without a bunch of laymen guessing at what is accurate. go onto the nhs web site and look it up http://www.nhs.uk/magazines/smoking/Page... <<<there ya go, hope yer mums ok x This is the best site to look at My mom just passed away from cancer. You will have to wait and find out the type of cancer she has and at what stage it is. My advice....go on vacation together while you still have time.....spend as much time with her as you can....tell her you love her....good luck. Any other questions b.willette@yahoo.com wel her cancer will be cured if its early stage, and tell to your mom stop smoking... its takes your body my surprise my uncle was diagnosed about a yr ago and so it has gone to his blood his brain his lungs and he has diabetes but he never smoked he did chemo but a very lite dosage i think it depends on her body Throat cancer has, like all cancers, a pretty decent survival rate when caught early. There is always hope. It is marvellous what the medics can do these days. My friend's Dad had it about two years ago, and he's doing very well. My Grandma had it for almost 10 years before she died. Although she smoked for a lot of them too. She had a hole in her throat for most of those years, and either had to write things down, or used one of those throat vibrating voice things. There were times that she was more sick and times when she seemed ok. Just make sure your mom quits now, so whatever she does have she isn't just speeding up the process. Wish you the best of luck. |
