Is this a symptom of throat cancer?

im 14, ive noticed something alarming in my mother.

for a while now, she seems to always be clearing her throat.
i searched in yahoo answers for symptoms.

she told me she never has problems swallowing
she dosent have any sort of bumps in her mouth

she says the only thing is that it feels like her, i dont know how to say it properly, loogi(sp) or lugi, gets caught in her throat.
is this a sign off throat cancer?

i do not think so, i would guess something like post nasal drip that is causing her to to have that tickle in her throat that would make her cough/clear her throat often!

could be she is allergic to something and the mucus membranes in her throat are swelling. Also sinusitis can cause a drainage that is very irritating. The two things usually go together. Good for you for being concerned for Mom. I wouldn't worry about throat cancer, but encourage your mom to see her Doctor and he can give her something to give her some relief. Good luck!

My Sister is dying from throat cancer. Everything is a symptom of throat cancer to me. Ask her to see the Doc. and get a professional diagnosis. Don't ignore it or pass it off as something else.
