Is it necessary to consume thiamine supplement pills?

Is it necessary to consume thiamine supplement pills?

I think a multi-vitamin works well with just enough daily thiamine. I use Centrum or the generic version of it. Vitamins are great - just don't overdose on them or you'll get ill. Doctors suggest eating the foods with the vitamins & minerals (like thiamine) but if you don't eat those foods, at least a vitamin is better than nothing.

This one of the more serious areas of supplements. Consult a doctor. I'm serious.
