Does anyone take Benfotiamine, the liquid-soluble form of thiamine, for their diabetes?

Supposedly BENFOTIAMINE dramatically boosts age-fighting thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP) and the cell-shielding activity of the enzyme transktalase in your body. I've seen it recommended for diabetics but wonder if I'm the only one taking it.

I heard it's a big thing with diabetics in Germany but I don't know. I had trouble finding the Benfotiamine in the US and had to order it off the Internet. I take it, yes, and figure it's like Alpha-Lipoic Acid in that it's not giving visible results (e.g. lowering my blood sugar) but might protect me from some of the free radicals down the road.
