Trying to get pregnant, but we have 25% to have a thalassemia child...? |
Well my wife and I both have a "stigma" in our blood. Our babies will have 25% to have healthy blood, 25% to have thalassemia, and 50% to have thalassemia "stigma" (just like we have) You were able to let your better judgment prevail for 6 years. Why change your attitude now??? I hate to point it out, but even two completely healthy parents without this stigma could have a sick child. What matters is that you need to love him or her the same whether he/she has healthy blood or thalassemia, and whether you're prepared and ready to care for your child if he or she is sick. |
