How can Thalassemia major can be cure and name the Doctor?

How can Thalassemia major can be cure and name the Doctor and the hospitals in INDIA for treatement and more.Be hurry up .

It is genetic and I don't believe it can be cured.

i am afraid there is no cure.. the reason for calling it major is because its a severe form..

blood transfusion and iron chelating agent is the only way in life..

genetic counsellation before having a child is the other way..

Thalassemia major can be cured...but there are few "if"s and "but"s in that..

The only two solutions available now for Thalassemia Major are :
1. Regular Blood Transfusion for life time, with unavoidable complications , like iron overload etc..These need to be treated by other drugs..
2. Bone marrow Transplant -
Bone marrow transplant is better and usually very effective if done before 4 or 5 years of age. There are several things to be understood in this..
The success rate is better than what it was some years back..
The cost factor varies from around 5 lakhs to 8 lakhs..(INR) ( varies from hospital to hospital)
Few of the centres doing BMT in India are Christian medical college, Vellore, Tamil Nadu and Apollo Speciality Hospital, Chennai
