Testicular Cancer - How do I check it?

OK Gents, stop sniggering, I'm being responsible, how do I check for testicular cancer?

I made this page a few months ago; I hope it helps:
http://forums.govteen.com/showpost.php?p...

It includes illustrations to make is easier to understand.

If you need a good video; here's one:

massage your love plums

Read up about it on the internet and do a good thorough check. Good for you for being so responsible and looking out for yourself. Hope it's all OK.

you go to your GP, that's how

First hold your scrotum in the palm of your hand and feel the size and weight of the testicles. It is common to have one testicle slightly larger than the other, or one that hangs lower.
Next feel each testicle and roll it between your thumb and finger. It should feel smooth. You'll feel a soft, tender tube toward the back of each testicle. This is normal and is called the epididymis.
It's unusual to develop cancer in both testicles at the same time, so if you're wondering whether a testicle is feeling normal or not, you can compare it with the other.

Act now 鈥?don't wait

If you notice anything unusual about your testicles, go and see your doctor as soon as possible. Changes might have other causes but should always be checked out.

well first
1) feel your testicals for about 5 minutes do not take your hands of until you are complete.
2) if u take ur hands of u will lose where u were
3)you shud find if u ave a lump or not

Hello, as I know it, you can tell if there's something wrong with the shape. The testicles have to be smoothly oblong and round.

self exam: check your testes regularly to have a control

if u notice any change in shape or size or any knots etc. go to the dr.

after a certain age most dr. check anyway

its best to go to doctors who will show you how its done properly or you could research online.

Ok, serious answer. Hold them loosely in one hand and gently feel all around them with the other hand. Take note of any lumps you feel or sore spots. Keep in mind that there are tubes such as the vas deferens and the epididymis there also. Check for any soreness there also.

do you have a small, hard painless lump in either of your testicles? If so get to the doctor now. (My first husband dies 25 years ago from it before people - including doctors - realised what you had to look for; even though i made him go ). Wait until you have had a bath and your body is warm and then investigate.

Look for symptoms and signs - increase in size of the testis -usually painless , collection of fluid in the sac (hydrocele) and feeling of heavyness and weight ----- consult your doctor immediately !

Are you crazy?
Go to a doctor at the speed of light.

good question and very responsible of you to think about checking, forget about these idiots on here who say leave it to a doctor, you can easily do it yourself,
first take a warm/hot bath that will make your ball sack loose and the balls will hang down lower than usual, then feel around each one in turn, if you notice anything unusual at all then make an appointment to go see your doctor, and dont feel embarrassed about it, the dr will probably congratulate you for being responsible, (but hopefully there will be no need to see him), do it often too!
