Does anybody think that people who read newspapers are more vulnerable to depression than non readers? |
I dont really read the newspaper, and im a pretty laid back person. It seems like people who read the newspaper talk about negative things that happen in this world. I know the world has its problems, but i dont like to think about what negative things that are going to happen in the future. If we have a terrorist attack, all i care about is me sleeping in my bed when my house gets bombed. Do you think readers are more prone to depression? The bad thing is that i deliver the newspapers! LOL! They probably are. It is hard to take in all the information in the world and not focus on the negative aspects of it. I think that people are made sad by the negative messages in the newspapers but i do not believe they are depressed. The media is a very sad thing and humans always want to read about bad things but i dont think that they are made depressed by it.Depression is a bit too extreme for the case. I think that reading the newspaper is a good thing that helps you to know what is going on in the world around you. I myself don't read the newspaper, but it is probably a good habit. I don't think that reading the newspaper has that much to do with depression but it may make more people be pessimistic because of all of the bad things that are going on. That is the bad thing with newspapers, however, they have a lot of information about bad things going on in the world and don't really focus hardly any attention on all of the good going on in the world. I would say so not many papers tell the real story anymore that's enough to depress anyone I don't think you are right. I DON'T READ THE PAPER, AND I STILL HAVE DEPRESSION. I GUESS IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE PERSON. |
