Is it tension headache i have????

I get a pain in my neck that travel up my head and i get a headache ive bin told that these are tension headaches is this true. If so how do i manage them i have one everyday they get worse as the day goes on i cn have them one second then the next they will be gone and then they come back so on. Anytips on how to relave this and should i go and see my doctor about them.

i used to have your symptoms and i first started taking valium and this helped then i went to ativan and it helped even more ..now i take xanax and also an anit depressant.
after long sessions on a shrinks couch i found i suffered from high anxiety..thus the tensions headaces and the inability for me to get a good nights rest. it helped my relationship with my wife 1005---now i smile more and complain less. have a doctor give you a full physical...this also will show any health problems..other hings are massage therepy (my wife is a massage therapist) and aromatherepy, chiarapractor and accupuncture...and also mocerate amounts of baileys and coffee in the a.m. and two beers before bedtime...but don't do all these at once...try one at a time...in the end you have to be your own Doctor

No judgment, but be careful with the pharmaceuticals, you would be amazed at the safer alternatives. The two beers before bed works wonders for me just make sure to go for a good beer, no cheap stuff. the dark beers seem to work the best. Report It

Try tramadol for pain relief and it is not addicting like the other drugs you mention. Used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain. I also use Soma Watson to help me sleep. http://buynowtramadol.net/inde... . Report It

Paul, gave you, excellent advice 4 a cure : ) also may want 2 try a ice pack on neck and take deep breath's and exhale slowly through out the day 2 relieve tention.. my son, when he, was in school always had the migraine's. when he, finished school, the migraine's were gone : )

usually any headache is a tension headache
they can be caused by any sudden movement...like someone coming up behind you and startling you causing the muscles to tense. if you sit with your head/neck in a certain position all day (like at a computer) that will cause them also
try taking a small hand towel and wetting it, fold it in 1/2 and place it inside a small trash bag or even a plastic store bag, tie it off, and place it in a micowave for 30 seconds...becareful because it will be hot...place another towel on your neck/shoulders and then put the other towel (still inside the bag) ontop...sit back and relax..."wet" heat is good for sore muscles

If you have a lot of stress in your life, on the job, with the children, or your husband this could also be the culprit. Try some relaxation exercises. (yoga, polities, etc.) Try these before you try the drugs. Long soaking, hot baths may help as well. Another thing you might try is St. John's Wart. This is a natural anti-depressant and it may help, but you have to take it for a couple of weeks before you will note any changes. Just a little note.(Quiet Time) If you let things get to you that are stress full, you might practice the breathing method. Sit on the floor with your legs crossed if you can. If you can't cross your legs, sit as comfortable as possible. Let your arms hang down to your sides and relax them. Try to relax your whole body and begin to roll your head around to the right three or four times and then to the left. Take deep regular breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Slow steady breaths. Continue this exercise for about ten minutes. Now before you stop and get up, keep in mind to release all of your tensions from the day and try not to think about anything except for a pleasantry, like a field full of poppies or watching puppies or kittens play or anything that brings you pleasure. (Something piece full) Do this in a quiet private place and make sure that no one comes in and disturbs you. I think this will help you. Good luck.
