Tennis Elbow??? |
i went to my family doctor cuz my arm felt weak, and loosened elbow joints. he said my elbow was fine. but he thinks its strained. then i had an x-ray of my elbow, and the day after that, my doctor said my elbow is 100% fine.. i dont trust my doctor..do u?? is strained elbow and tennis elbow same thing???? A strained/sprained elbow will not show anything on xrays. X-rays will show a fracture or a spur or degenerative changes. You mention tennis elbow, which is a diagnosis later epicondylitis and this is caused from a back hand motion, hinch the name tennis elbow. Ice for the first 24-36 hours and then heat applications. Motrin or Tylenol for discomfort and a ace bandgage will help. Take the ace wrap off at bedtime and try not to do any back hand motions. Picking up a gallon of milk will cause discomfort, if indeed it is tennis elbow. That is a back hand motion. You don't have a tennis elbow if your arm is just weak. Tennis elbow can be really painful because my brother had one. He plays basketball for University of Toronto and he couldn't play the last season because of the tennis elbow. he couldn't even move the arm for months. Consider yourself really lucky if your doctor said your elbow is fine.. Why should a doctor lie to yoU? that's his job to fix problems not create one. I think you need to trust your doctor on this one for sure. You are just whining if you ask me. |
