Tennis elbow pain....?

Tennis Elbow..I have burning sensation in my elbows and couple yrs ago it healed a bit?
cause i used a arm band and now it's back again! surgery is not an option..what is??? i use Aleve to relieve the pain and I cannot do any weights for my upper body unless it heals...does it really take 6 months to a year to heal??? Anyone has this problem?

In the past I used glucosamine- chondritin 1,500 mg a day and it really helped it heal..but it has come back since I started to do upper body weights. I think i will just use my arm brace and not bend my arms and take care of it...

I'm guessing that yes it could take 6 months plus to heal. My foot took 6 months of physical therapy and a year and half to feel totally okay. You should talk to your doctor about working with a physical therapist. what they can do with you will really work and make it truly possible to avoid surgery. Patience is key here you need to have the patience to let it heal.

Edit: meant to say that I had tendonitis in my foot, repetative injury stuff like tennis elbow can be.

consult a trainer

i had it a few years ago.i used a cream called myoflex and advil is the best for body pain such as this

I have the same problem started in one arm, now in both but I was told by doc. there isn't a cure and it don't go away. I use a arm band but I can't wear it at work.. It is very painful and I figure i may as well get used to it. I take aleve and use asper cream every day and night

i have had a tennis elbow for years.
when the pain is bad i use a tennis elbow brace.
it is the muscle in the forearm which causes alot of the pain and restrict that muscles makes the pain diminish somewhat.
i have also tried rubbing it with a heat based cream which oputs warmth into it...goanna oil is good

If surgery is not an option have you thought of getting an injection of a steroid into your elbow like cortisone? Ask your physician about it.
The injection hurts but it can sometimes help.

Good Luck

I hope that helped
