Tendinitis? |
Does swimming make tendinitis worse or does it help by strenghtning the muscles? It's probably golfer's elbow caused by mouse-clicking... yes, it will worsen it. you should be resting your arm for at least 7 days .. you can do activity but do not push, if there is any pain stop immediately..... I would recommend that you still swim in order to strengthen the tendon and muscles, but I would take it easy (only swim 2-3 days a week short distances). I would stretch before and after swimming and ice the location of pain (tendonitis) after swimming. Report It If the tendon is really inflamed, it needs to be rested for at least 3 weeks. If the pain subsides, then you can swim within your limitations. No point in "abusing" a tendon which is already sick. No clue. I guess it depends on how hard you are working and how fast you are going. You should ask your doctor. depends where you have the tendinitis- i have hipflexer tendinitis and it would be a bad idea for me to swin. call a physical thereapist to ask. |
